The Popular Show Campaign 4 Reveals the Soldiers Table

Since the launch of the fourth campaign, new Dungeon Master Brennan Mulligan has maintained audience suspense with rich lore, a diverse cast of characters, and a thrilling plot including angels, evil spirits, and malevolent powers increasing in influence within Dol-Makjar.

Warning: Key plot points for the latest installment of this adventure are included.

The Combat-Oriented Party Revealed

Episode 3 concluded with a huge suspense moment and revealed the first table of heroes who will separate from the central cast to embark on their independent quest, apart from the additional parties.

The combat-focused team consists of the determined fighter (brought to life by Travis), Thimble (the talented performer), the strong-willed figure (Whitney Moore), Wicander Halovar (the player), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie Daymond).

Dividing the Cast

Considering 13 cast members, it was evident from the outset that keeping everyone at the same party would be unworkable.

Hence, the first four episodes of the new season serve as an Prelude, intertwining the characters’ stories before branching into three separate parties: Warriors, Strategists, and Questers.

Characteristics of the Warrior Group

As described by the DM, the warrior group is for participants who are drawn to a traditionally charged battle-oriented story mode where diplomatic options are few and far between.

Initially, figures such as the squeamish cleric Wicander Halovar might look mismatched, but the developments of episode 3 make it clear why these specific adventurers are ideally matched for the combat party.

Motivations for Departure

For one thing, the group understands precisely where to head next after a violent first encounter with The Crow Keepers.

Casimir of Thjazi—whose demise started the story’s plot—manipulated The Crow Keepers for his own means, entering Thjazi’s hideout, attacking the rogue, and stealing all the powerful objects to dispose of.

Casimir then paid off his liabilities and ran away to a fortified location in the remote area, beyond the urban center, with Teor’s brother pursuing him.

Personal Motivations

Secondly, each member has a individual motive to exit Dol-Makjar:

  • Thimble, as Thjazi’s partner and trusted friend, seeks revenge.
  • Kattigan knows the northern area and cautions that it is a hostile environment.
  • Tyranny and The cleric, having resisted his relatives’ demands to execute Teor and instead saved him, have no safe haven.
  • But, their reputation as prominent individuals in the powerful family could assist the party access locations they usually can’t.
  • Furthermore, Teor vowed a unbreakable promise to Wicander for his deliverance and will now follow him everywhere.

Wanted and Hunted

Finally, all of them are sought by the authorities that rule the city for a variety of reasons, making lingering locally no longer safe:

  • Thimble and The character are notorious outlaws.
  • The strong figure and The cleric turned against the powerful family and the legion of demons they are partnered with.
  • The fighter is wanted dead by the family.

This leaves them few options but to journey toward the northern region in quest for the traitor.

What’s Next?

From episode three’s Cooldown, we discover that the combat party will not appear in the upcoming installment, leaving the rest of the players to assemble the Questers and Schemers groups.

Audiences can anticipate discovering which players will be in which group in the story’s last Overture episode, released on next week.
